The invention concerns a method for making hard metal inserts (8) such as clamping jaws (1) equipped with clamping blades for drill chucks and like components. The method is characterized in that it consists in forming on a cylindrical pin (2) a jaw rod (4) provided with a toothed layer (3) designed to be made integral with a clamping thread, as well as a clamping surface (6), which is axially offset, arranged on the surface of the cylindrical pin (2) opposite the toothed layer (3), and inclined relative to the axis (5) of the cylindrical pin (2). The hard metal insert (8) is mounted on the clamping surface (6). Components prevent the hard metal insert (8) from being lifted perpendicularly to the clamping surface (6). The hard metal insert (8) is fixed on the clamping surface (6) by means of a binding material (9) countering the longitudinal displacement of the clamping surface (6). |
