A mixing assembly for two chemically reactive components has a fixed container with internal mixer blades. The container incorporates several internal permanent magnets (4) whose movement is detected by a sensor (5) linked to a monitor (6). The permanent magnets are fixed to the mixer blades and the sensor is on the container outer surface. In a further embodiment the container incorporates a vertical baffle rod with internal permanent magnets and sensors, parallel to the mixer blade shaft.
