PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm reception of a voice message by a recipient, and further to enable the recipient to confirm the date and time when the message is received. SOLUTION: A sender can receive information for confirming the reception of a voice message destined to a recipient. The sender originates a telephone call to the recipient (101) and discriminates that an audio signal is stored (102). If it is judged that the audio signal is to be stored, a telephone set of the sender is turned into ciphering decoding non-approved mode, and a telephone set of the recipient is also similarly switched into ciphering decoding non-approved mode (103). The audio signal is encrypted and sent as spoken (104) and if the encrypted audio signal is received, the telephone set of the recipient immediately stores the encrypted audio signal as a voice message (105).
