PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase speed of collation processing concerning a biometrics collation speed-increasing method. SOLUTION: When registering data, data are generated by encoding a biometrics object. Simultaneously, the kind of the biometrics object is discriminated. The kind and the generated data are associated and registered in a database. When collating the data, data for collation are generated from the biometrics object. Simultaneously, the kind of the biometrics object is recognized.
