PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a humidifier capable of carrying out operation in comfortable humidity while preventing dew formation even when a room temperature is high. SOLUTION: The controller for the humidifier is provided with a humidity sensor 1, a room temperature sensor 2, a comfortable humidity data storing means 3, a dew formation data storing means 4 for storing correlation data of room temperature and humidity causing dew formation, a minimum room temperature storing means 5, a time measuring means 6 for measuring an elapsed time from an update of a minimum room temperature, and a control means 7 for controlling operation of the humidifier on the basis of inputs of the humidity sensor 1 and the room temperature sensor 2, data stored in the comfortable humidity data storing means 3, the dew formation data storing means 4, and the minimum room temperature storing means 5, and an input from the time measuring means 6. The control means 7 has a dew formation prevention mode wherein operation is controlled using comfortable humidity as target humidity until the time measuring means 6 measures a predetermined time, and using dew formation prevention humidity as the target humidity after the predetermined time has been measured.
