PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture contacts, to improve workability by simplifying the manufacture process and an assembly process and to reduce production cost, by manufacturing the contacts from sheet metal by press working, such as blanking, forming main spring parts in the middle to be elastically deformable so that they can be curved or moved in a meandering manner, connecting a terminal part on the bottom end to a print circuit on a test board and connecting a well, by having the contact base parts on a tip to be made to stably contact the exterior terminals of an electronic component at two or more positions. SOLUTION: A socket for an electronic component is provided, with two or more contacts brought into contact with the external terminals of the mounted electronic component. The contacts are provided with two or more contact parts at the tip, and the contact parts are constituted with bending parts so that the contact parts can be brought into contact with the exterior terminals of the electronic component.
