PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of reproduction data in a technique of reproducing digital data from a disk-like recording medium. SOLUTION: When correction of reproduced data is performed, in the case that the data are uncorrectable, an erroneous sector is detected in EDC check or check of continuity of ID is performed, and error correction is performed again using an inner code, and then a flag based on results of correction is rewritten according to results of the EDC check or the check of ID continuity, and then error correction using an outer code is performed.
