PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage tank of high practicability, capable of efficiently suppressing the leakage quantity of heat at a low cost in the case of applying a vacuum heat insulating material to a hot water storage tank. SOLUTION: In this hot water storage tank, the vacuum heat insulating material 14 is stuck along the shape of an inner container 12 around a part in closest proximity to the side face of an outer case 13 of square cylinder shape, and a sheet-like heat insulating material 15 is formed to be disposed ensuring sufficient thickness in the corner part inside space of the outer case 13. Space saving and cost reduction can thereby be attained without lowering the heat insulating performance of the hot water storage tank while reducing the applied quantity of vacuum heat insulating material.
