摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired amount of reformed fuel by effectively utilizing moisture contained in exhaust gas when generating the reformed fuel containing at least hydrogen by using parts of the exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine to promote reforming reaction. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 1 has a reforming device 20 for generating reformed gas containing at least hydrogen by using parts of the exhaust gas discharged from a combustion chamber 2 to promote the reforming reaction. A reforming exhaust gas passage 70 is branched from a main exhaust gas passage 7a in a cylinder head 7 of the internal combustion engine 1 and a branching section between the main exhaust gas passage 7a and the reforming exhaust gas passage 70 is positioned so that the exhaust gas is allowed to move in and out between the both passages by using exhaust pulsation.
