METHOD FOR TREATING IRON CORE OF TRANSFORMER CORE AND DEVICE FOR FOLDING LAMINATED SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating an iron core of a transformer core with an excellent efficiency of rendering the iron core of the transformer core harmless. SOLUTION: An insulating oil is collected from the interior of the housing of a transformer and the interior of the housing is washed. The iron core 2 of the transformer core 1 taken out from the housing is cut, and is separated into two sets of end portion laminated sheets 4 and three sets of coil section laminated sheets 5 including copper coils 3. The copper coils 3 are removed from the coil section laminated sheets 5. And the central parts in the longitudinal direction of the end portion laminated sheets 4 and the coil section laminated sheets 5 are banded with a steel strip. When the constrained end portion laminated sheets 4 and coil section laminated sheets 5 are folded with a folding device, gaps through which a washing liquid can penetrate are formed not only between the sheets of both end portions which are not constrained, but also between the sheets of the constrained central parts.
