In a process to draw a woven textile to a length, the web is fed between two drums with intermeshing teeth that do not make contact with each other. The intermeshing teeth (z1-z4) define a zigzag path (A, B, C) for the fabric. The teeth have a predefined form with rounded tips. The width of the gap between the teeth is at least four times the thickness of the fabric.
