PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard display device capable of instantaneously providing risk information. SOLUTION: This device comprises an own vehicle information detection means detecting vehicle information of an own vehicle; an external information detection means detecting external information for the outside of the own vehicle; a control unit computing a relative safety of the own vehicle with the outside of the vehicle based on the own vehicle information detected by the own vehicle information detection means and the external information detected by the external information detection means, and unifying the computed safety as safety information laterally extending to the advancing direction; and a display means reporting the safety information computed by the control unit to a driver by only lateral display.
