PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit for a continuously variable transmission by which a driver can visually recognize the follow-up state of an actual transmission-gear ratio to an aimed transmission-gear ratio, when the transmission gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission is changed on the basis of driver's manual transmission operation. SOLUTION: The display unit for the continuously variable transmission is capable of displaying a transmission gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission 6, and comprises a shifting state display device 25. The display device 25 displays the follow-up state of the actual transmission-gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission 6 to the aimed transmission gear ratio selected on the basis of driver's operation so that the driver can visually recognize the state.
