<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting-diode lighting circuit which increases light-emitting-diode power injection efficiency by reducing the power consumption of a dropper resistor. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting-diode lighting circuit is constituted such that a number of light-emitting diodes LED and a dropper resistor R are provided and are connected to a power supply DC, wherein the dropper resistor R is connected in series to a plurality which is at least a part of the number of the light-emitting diodes with respect to the power supply DC. The voltage drop V<SB>R</SB>(V) in the dropper resistor under lighting of the light-emitting diodes is set as V<SB>R</SB>≤e, where e (V) is the bias voltage of a single light-emitting diode. Preferably, the bias voltage of a single diode among the plurality of the light-emitting diodes series-connected to the dropper resistor R is lower than the forward voltage corresponding to the designed forward current value of the light-emitting diode in its nominal forward-voltage-forward-current characteristic. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
