<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize simultaneous multicolor luminescence, by controlling efficiently luminescent colors, restricting the number of the switches which open and close the feed line of LEDs, when using two or more three-color LED units for status display and for event indication of an electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 8 controls the opening and closing of switches 3 and 4 for each unit, a switch 5 for red, a switch 6 for green, and a switch 7 for blue. Therein, the feed lines by the side of the anode of three-color LED units 1 and 2 are opened and closed respectively by the switches 3 and 4 for each unit. The switches 3 and 4 for each unit are kept from closing simultaneously. Furthermore, the feed lines by the side of the cathode common to each red LED 1R and 2R, green LED 1G and 2G, and blue LED 1B and 2B are opened and closed respectively by the switch 5 for red, the switch 6 for green, and the switch 7 for blue, so that their opened or closed status is made to change according to whether the switch 3 for each unit is closed, or the switch 4 for each unit is closed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
