PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device having reduced power consumption consumed in a dry part at preheating. SOLUTION: A target dry temperature setting part 54 sets a target dry temperature which is the temperature of the dry part 13 for drying a photosensitive material. A preheating temperature setting part 55 sets the preheating temperature being the initial temperature for making the dry part 13 a target dry temperature within a time, until the photosensitive material reaches the dry part 13 after starting image recording processing. A control part 53 controls a blower 35 and a heater 36 to preheat the dry part 13, when a preheating temperature value is higher than the outside temperature value, by comparing the preheating temperature value with the outside temperature value detected by an outside temperature and an outside humidity sensor 52 at each fixed time interval. In addition, when the preheating temperature value is equal to or lower than the outside temperature value, power consumption can be reduced at the dry part 13, since preheating is not performed by deciding that preheating is unnecessary.
