PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire inspecting instrument for the game machines which achieves not only the easier and quick inspection of the signals lines for the exact connection of the controllers for the game machines therewith but also the exact detection of any illegal gadgets which may be incorporated into or connected to the game machines and the exact and easier detection of any gadgets allowing the fraudulence which may be connected to the game machines. SOLUTION: Out of 2<SP>n</SP>of identification signals different from each other which enable the identification of 2<SP>n</SP>of signal lines respectively and comprise the signals of low level and high level, the signal comprising either a signal of low level or a signal of high level is outputted upto n times and the signals outputted are inspected. Out of 2<SP>n</SP>+m of identification signals different from each other which enable the identification of 2<SP>n</SP>+m of signal lines respectively and comprise the signals of low level and high level, the signal comprising either a signal of low level or high level is generated upto n+1 times to be supplied to the signal lines and the signals supplied are inspected.
