PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breathable sole structure for a footwear to give more improved breathability to the footwear. SOLUTION: This footwear breathable sole structure 10 includes an insole 12, an outsole 14, and a functional membrane system 16. The insole 12 has an area 18 with a plurality of holes 20 therethrough. The outsole 14 has an area 24 with a plurality of holes 26 therethrough. The functional membrane system 16 has a microporous hydrophilic membrane 32 with micropores 36 and a microporous hydrophobic membrane 34 with micropores 38. The insole 12 and the outsole 14 are bonded to each other.
