The invention relates to a tie (1) for a ballasted track for railways. Said tie comprises a cross-part (4) running along a tie longitudinal axis (6) and two longitudinal beams (5) spaced apart by the cross-part (4). Every longitudinal beam (5), on its upper side, has a bearing (9) for receiving a rail element (10) extending above the longitudinal beam (5). Every longitudinal beam (5) has one or more receiving elements (26) for one rail fastening element (28) each for retaining a rail element (10) on the longitudinal beam (5). At least one of the receiving elements (26) on at least one of the two longitudinal beams (5) is disposed off-set at an angle to the tie longitudinal axis (6). The invention also relates to a tie (1) of the aforementioned kind which, at the ends of the longitudinal beams (5), is stepped or recessed, thereby making it possible to fastening in these areas connecting elements (56) for fastening two rail elements (10) whose faces rest against each other. |
