An exhaust gas turbocharger (2) has an exhaust gas turbine (EGT) (3) in an exhaust gas train (4) and a compressor (5) in an intake section (6). A turbine wheel for the EGT links via a shaft (7) to the compressor's wheel in a torque-proof manner. When an internal combustion engine (ICE) operates, ICE exhaust gases under pressure drive a turbine wheel in the EGT. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) An exhaust gas turbocharger with a compressor; (B) and for an internal combustion engine with a compressor.
