<p>A zinc tungstenate single crystal, characterized in that it contains lithium, cobalt, manganese or sodium; and a method for preparing the zinc tungstenate single crystal, characterized in that lithium, cobalt, manganese or sodium, or a compound thereof is added when said zinc tungstenate single crystal is grown. The above zinc tungstenate single crystal is reduced in the damage by a radiation in the elapse of time and exhibits a reduced afterglow, when used as a single crystal for a radiation detector.</p> |
