Disclosed is a method for heating a roller that is used for producing and/or refining a web of material, particularly a paper web or cardboard web. According to said method, the heat required for heating the roller is generated at least in part within the roller by burning a combustible materi al at least in some areas of the roller with the aid of air or oxygen. Also disclosed is a corresponding heatable roller. |
