<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail for a visually handicapped person allowing the person to know change of direction of advance before it securely irrespective of amount of literacy and having satisfactory appearance. <P>SOLUTION: In this handrail for visually handicapped person, projecting parts (peripheral projection 11) or recessed parts (peripheral channel 10) are intermittently arranged in the longitudinal direction, and density of the projecting part (peripheral projection 11) or the recessed part (peripheral channel 10) is high at front and rear positions of a bent part where direction of extension is changed. Density of the projecting part (peripheral projection 11) or the recessed part (peripheral channel 10) is gradually increased when approaching the bent part at the front and rear positions of the bent part where direction of extension is changed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
