PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved processing method of a wound state of a magnetic tape by which winding disorder at the time of manufacturing of products and at the time of shipping of the products is prevented by giving the prescribed winding peculiarity to the magnetic tape at the time of manufacturing of the magnetic tape, also winding disorder hardly caused even when it is used by a user, and also to provide a magnetic tape. SOLUTION: The improving processing method of a wound state of a magnetic tape comprises: a winding process in which the magnetic tape is wound on a tape reel of which the hub peripheral plane is formed in taper shape; a heat treatment process by which the magnetic tape wound by the winding process is heat-treated under a previously set heat treatment condition. It is preferable that humidity is set to 50-90 % at directly under glass transition temperature of a supporter of the magnetic tape as the previously set heat treatment condition.
