PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve defect of a conventional WTS (water treating system) unit which employs a lamp assembly and a filter assembly. SOLUTION: This filter assembly 26 fitting fluid in a fluid treatment system 20 having a second treatment device 24, is provided with: an inner sleeve 92 that demarcates a chamber constituted detachably from the second treatment device, and has first and second end parts attached to a base unit, where the first end part has an outlet opening; and a filter block 90 coaxially surrounding the inner sleeve. All the fluid to be treated by the filter block and the second treatment device passes through the filter block, passes through the outlet opening and flows out of the filter assembly into the chamber. The filter assembly is also provided with valves 102 and 164 to seal the filter assembly so that the fluid is prevented from leaking from the filter assembly, when the filter assembly is detached from the base unit and the second treatment device.
