PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify the position of a subject definitely even under the state where it is difficult to specify the subject. SOLUTION: Optical data such as infrared radiation output from an identifying information output 210 attached to part of the subject are received by an imaging means 1 together with an image signal of the subject. Only infrared band component is extracted and output to an infrared position detecting means 14. Then the position on the screen is specified, and output to a control means 13 as position information. The control means 13 displays a marker on a display means 12 overlapped with the image based on the position information. Consequently, the position of a desired subject can be specified.
