PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a generator for high-speed repetitive optical pulse train which is stable in oscillation frequency, has large output light intensity and is inexpensive. SOLUTION: A light signal generator 1 receives a feedback signal 1-14 and generates an optical pulse train synchronized with the feedback signal 1-14. A light delay line 2 receives the optical pulse train, generated by the generator 1 and outputs it with a delay of a predetermined time. A photoelectric converter 3 receives the optical pulse train output from the line 2 and converts it into an electrical signal. An electric timing adjustment part 7 supplies the output signal from the converter 3, with timing adjusted as the feedback signal 1-14 to the light signal generator 1. Further, the generator 1 has an end surface R for supplying the pulse train to the light delay line 2, and an end surface L for outputting the pulse train to an external machine 8.
