PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an axial length of a bearing unit, and to improve versatility and selectivity for the bearing unit. SOLUTION: The bearing unit comprises a shaft 31, a radial bearing 33 supporting the shaft 31 at a peripheral direction, a thrust bearing 34 supporting one end of the shaft 31 at a thrust direction, a housing 37, in which the radial bearing 33 and thrust bearing 34 are internally arranged, being an airtight structure excluding a shaft inserting hole 45 inserted by the shaft 31, and viscous fluid 38 filling the housing 37. A locking portion 52 preventing pulling-out of the shaft 31 by keeping a contact with a part of the shaft 31 is arranged in a peripheral edge of the shaft inserting hole 45 at an inner face side of the housing 37.
