<p>A fastener for securing insulation layers, e.g. on a flat roof, has a profiled pressure plate (14) with a recessed centre (16) with a central hole (18) flanked by profiled tags (19, 20) to spread the fastening grip over a sufficiently wide area. A threaded fastener (1) is fitted through a plastic sleeve (7) with a tapering point (10) and a lipped upper end (8). The lipped end engages one or all of the profiled tags to press the plate into the insulation. The plate has tilt freedom to follow roof contours and to accommodate any movements, e.g. from wind suction forces.</p> |
