A method for processing the request of position information from a user equipment , the method includes: the objective UE sends a request of the position information to the LCS system, and requests the LCS system to provi de the position information of the objective UE; the LCS system locates the objective UE, obtains the position information of the objective UE, and judg es if the real identifier of the objective UE needs to be concealed , if it is , the LCS system sends the pseudo code and the position information of the objective UE to the request end; if not , the LCS system sends the real ID a nd the position information of the objective UE to the request end. According t o this invention, the LCS system can determine whether or not to conceal the real ID of the objective UE based on the user's request, and it can enhance the flexibility of the position service; and the LCS system can enhance the safety when the user uses the position service according to concealing the real ID of the objective UE.
