<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of an immersion type membrane separator caused by membrane clogging and the like when using it for solid-liquid separation in various waste liquid treatments. <P>SOLUTION: A filtration membrane 4 is installed for the solid-liquid separation of treated water 7 in an aeration tank 5, and a suction pump 3 and a pressure gauge 2 for measuring suction gage pressure are installed. These devices and means are connected to a control device and an alarm sending device 1. The control device and the alarm sending device 1 automatically stop a suction device, and at the same time give an alarm to an operation manager. Thereby the immersion type membrane separator can be maintained in the optimum condition to perform the solid-liquid separation of sludge and the treated water and to prevent the damage due to the membrane clogging and the like.
