PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network parameter setting method of a communication apparatus enabling a user to easily set a communication apparatus without requiring the user to be conscious of technical terms, and without using special devices such as a keyboard and a mouse, capable of easily verifying that a person who performs setting is a person concerned, and capable of easily dynamically changing the setting; and to provide a related apparatus thereof. SOLUTION: In the network parameter setting method of a communication apparatus (router), a user directly inputs a setting command based on an opposite party name which is not directly correlated with the network parameter into the communication apparatus or indirectly inputs it via the other apparatus, and the communication apparatus inquires a database server on the network about the setting command. In this way, one or a plurality of related network parameters from the database server, and one part or all the network parameters are set in the communication apparatus itself.
