摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace damper having large damping force, without generating a discontinuous part in horizontal ribs in the material axis direction of a brace body, by arranging at least mutual end parts of the horizontal rib of channel steel and the horizontal rib of both end parts of the brace body so as to overlap in the material axis direction of the brace body. SOLUTION: This brace damper 1 uses the brace body 2 composed of a band plate-like steel plate and assembling channel steel 3 installed in the brace body 2 in the form of sandwiching in the thickness direction of the brace body 2 from both sides, as a main constituent member. An end part 5 of the brace damper 1 forms an H-shaped cross section by welding a pair of flange parts 5f and 5f to both edges of a web part 5w composed of an end part 2b of the brace body 2, and the horizontal rib 7 is arranged along the material axis G of the brace body 2 on both surfaces of the web part 5w. The assembling channel steel 3 is composed of a web part 3w for sandwiching the brace body 2 and a pair of flange parts 3f and 3f welded to both edges of the web part 3w. The horizontal ribs 6 and 6 parallel to the material axis G of the brace body 2, and vertical ribs 8, etc. orthogonal to the horizontal ribs 6 and 6, are arranged on an outside surface of the web part 3w.
