PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wasteful blank portion from occurring by restraining paper feed even when a switch for directing a paper sheet to be fed is depressed against one's will. SOLUTION: The printing device is provided with a means to choose between the execution and nonexecution of paper feed after a line feed switch to direct the paper sheet to be fed to be executed or a form feed switch is depressed by moving into an off-line condition by depressing an on-line switch to choose between an on-line mode and an off-line mode.
