PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strip-like member applying apparatus capable of performing stable cueing without applying eccentric force to a strip-like member. SOLUTION: The strip-like member applying apparatus 1 is equipped with a base part 2 freely movable in an approach direction and a spaced-apart direction with respect to a belt tread drum D, the press roller 4 connected to the base part 2 to press the strip-like member W to the belt tread drum D, the guide rollers 5 and 6 provided to the base part 2 to guide the strip-like member W, the automatic cutter 7 provided to the base part 2 to automatically cutting the strip-like member W and the member chuck 8 provided to the base part 2 to stop the feed of the strip-like member W to apply the strip-like member W to the belt tread drum D. This strip-like member applying apparatus is equipped with a cueing means 9 for performing the cueing of the strip-like member W by the same length as the moving quantity of the strip-like member W at the same speed as the moving speed of the base part 2 in moving the base part 2 in the direction spaced apart from the belt tread drum.
