PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high specific gravity composite metallic material as an alternate material for lead used to a balancer, a filler, a weight or the like by impregnating Sn or Zn into chip crushed particles. SOLUTION: In the method for producing high specific gravity composite metallic material and a high specific gravity composite metallic material, melted low melting point metal (20) is press-impregnated into the chip crushed particles (1) of a sintered alloy essentially composed of W to obtain the high specific gravity composite metallic material (30, 30A).
