PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strainer for filtering a coating capable of also exerting an excellent filtration performance to the coating containing a powder particle of a metal such as a metallic material or the like and mineral, allowing production at a low cost, disposable, significantly economical, also exhibiting high filtration efficiency to the coating having high affinity against a synthetic resin, allowing a decrease in waste of the coating, and further securely removing a filtration foreign matter produced in a pearl coating, thereby enabling a filtration operation with excellent workability to be carried out. SOLUTION: The strainer for filtering the coating includes a main body made of paper comprising a cylindrical body having a roughly circular truncated cone shape and a net body attached so as to cover a downward opening part of the main body, forms an extending part extending inward in the periphery portion of the downward opening part of the main body, and fixes the net body to the extending part so as to cover the whole surface of the downward opening part.
