PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device for a wheelchair effectively absorbing an impact on a user even if an object such as a vehicle collides with the wheelchair. SOLUTION: When the vehicle such as an automobile collides with the wheelchair 1, at first the automobile collides with a detecting member 11a of a collision detector 11 and a pressure in the collision generated in the detecting member 11a is detected by a pressure sensitive sensor 11b. When the detected pressure is a predetermined pressure or more, a first air bag 12 inflates forward from the user A on the wheelchair 1, a second air bag 13 inflates to the circumference of the head part and backward from the neck part of the user, and the impact on the user A in the collision is absorbed by the respective air bags 12 and 13.
