Geomagnetic sensor for detecting dip angle and method thereof

A geomagnetic sensor for detecting a dip angle includes a geomagnetic detection module for outputting an electric signal having a magnitude corresponding to a magnetic field; a memory for storing an azimuth measured in a horizontal plane; an accelerometer module for measuring a tilt at present, and computing a tilt angle therefrom; and a controller for calculating a dip angle by using the electric signal outputted from the geomagnetic detection module, the tilt angle, and the horizontal azimuth. Therefore, a user can more easily and conveniently calculate the dip angle at the present position.
