<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex compound comprising a polymer having a triplet-emission complex structure in a side chain thereof and exhibits excellent light-emitting performances. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer complex compound contains a recurring unit represented by formula (1) [wherein Ar<SP>1</SP>is a bivalent heterocyclic group bearing at least one atom selected from the group consisting of oxygen, silicon, germanium, tin, phosphorus, boron, sulfur, selenium and tellurium atoms; Ar<SP>1</SP>has at least one but not more than four groups represented by the formula: -L-X; X is a monovalent group having a metal complex structure giving emission from a triplet exited state; L is a single bond, -O-, -S- or the like; R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or the like; and n is 0 or 1] and has a number-average molecular weight of 10<SP>3</SP>-10<SP>8</SP>in terms of polystyrene. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
