<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of correcting the nonuniformity of density of a printed image without attaching a special device such as a circuit for detecting the surface potential of an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: When a peripheral position calculation part receives reference position information showing a reference position set on a peripheral surface of a photoreceptor drum (YES in step S1), on the basis of this reference position signal and a drive pulse output from a drum drive, the part calculates a position in the peripheral direction of the photoreceptor drum (step S2). A record data getting part gets the position in the peripheral direction of the photoreceptor drum calculated in the step S2, gets the surface potential of the photoreceptor drum corresponding to the position from a memory, and inputs the get surface potential into a control signal output part (step S3). The control signal output part reads a correction value of light exposure corresponding to the surface potential from a table, produces a control signal corresponding to the correction value (step S4), and transmits the control signal to a scanning unit (step S5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
