<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management method for managing books in a library all together. <P>SOLUTION: A response device 30 is bonded on a book 70, and question devices 20 for receiving a response signal of the response device 30 for a transmitted question signal are installed in each section in the library. The response device 30 transmits a response signal by previously set distinguishing information when receiving a question signal transmitted by the question device 20. A computer 10 displays the result of comparison of the received distinguishing information with book data base 14 in a display device 13.
