<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sheet supplying device capable of stably delivering sheets having portions with comparatively large elasticity and large friction coefficient one by one. <P>SOLUTION: This sheet supplying device 14 comprises a sheet putting plate 88 putting the sheets on a flat top face, a nudger roll 68 rotating while contacting the top faces of the sheets put on the sheet putting plate 88 and positioned at an uppermost part to give a delivery force in a face direction to the sheets, and a step formation member 90 projecting from the sheet putting plate 88 and supporting one part of the sheets in the delivery direction from below.
