PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display in which a viewer can store a scene including a selected image frame surely and quickly by simply indicating the start of the storage of a scene from a selection operating section, and a large volume of motion picture data can be processed at a high rate without setting an address for reading out data, and to provide a scene extracting method and a program of the image display, and a recording medium. SOLUTION: The image display comprises a section for storing inputted data of motion pictures, a section for selecting a specific image frame among the motion pictures by operating the display, a section for extracting the scene of a motion picture including a selected image frame among the data of motion pictures stored in the data storage section, and a section for storing the data of the scene extracted at the scene extracting section on a recording medium.
