PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scheduling method of a master / slave synchronous communication system whereby a master and all slaves connected on an IEEE 1394 network can transmit / receive control data within a control period of an integer multiple of the isochronous cycle. SOLUTION: The master captures the control period, detects the slaves connected on the IEEE 1394 network, and automatically assigns the detected slaves to a communication timing management table for the communication between the master and the slaves.
