CLADDING MATERIAL FOR TERMINAL, AND TERMINAL FOR ALUMINUM WIRE FORMED USING CLADDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal which can be recycled as a raw material for producing steel materials without becoming a source of impurities, and to provide a cladding material for a terminal suitable as a material of the terminal. SOLUTION: The cladding material is one for a terminal used for making a terminal for an aluminum wire. The cladding material comprises: an aluminum layer 1 made of pure aluminum or an aluminum alloy predominantly composed of aluminum; and stainless steel layers 2, 2 made of stainless steel and bonded to both surfaces of the aluminum layer 1. The total thickness of the stainless steel layers 2, 2 preferably falls within a range of 35 to 70% of the thickness of the cladding material.
