PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and a magnetic one-component toner for an electrostatic latent image development which can prevent an insulation destruction from occurring at the surface of a photosensor, in a development system by a magnetic one-component development method which employs an amorphous silicon photosensor of a thin layer as a latent image holder and a cleaning blade is used as a means to clean the surface of this photosensor. SOLUTION: This is an image forming method by a magnetic one-component development method which employs an amorphous silicon photosensor whose film thickness is 10μm to 30μm as a latent image holder, and a cleaning blade is used as a cleaning means to remove toner from the surface of this photosensor. As a toner to develop an electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the photosensor, a magnetic one-component toner which includes polyhedron-shaped magnetic powder whose volume resistivity is 4×10<SP>2</SP>(Ωcm) or more 1×10<SP>6</SP>(Ωcm) or less in its toner particles is used.
