PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network fault isolation method by which even a user having no high skill capable of understanding a communication protocol can deal with a fault at the time of the construction/formation of a network without requiring perfect protocol analysis at an application level, and to provide a network fault isolation tool and a program. SOLUTION: A packet capture section 11 captures packet data PD from communication data DA that are received by a receiving port 10, on a communication line L and a communication connection/disconnection judging section 14 judges normality/abnormality from packet data PD that are captured by the packet capture section 11, in a predetermined region based on a connection status judging table 13, and presents a result of the judgement via a GUI section 16.
