摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably manufacture a liquid crystal display device of a liquid crystal dropping and panel alignment system which has a high display quality by optimizing the amount of a liquid crystal to be dropped. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device, in which the liquid crystal is held between a pair of substrates through a closed annular sealing material, includes: a step (P6) of applying the sealing material on at least one of the pair of substrates; a liquid crystal dropping step (P7) to drop the liquid crystal on at least one of the pair of substrates; and laminating step (P21) to laminate the pair of substrates. The amount of the liquid crystal to be dropped in the liquid crystal dropping step (P7) is determined based on the coating amount of the sealing material in the step (P6). Or, the coating amount of the sealing material is measured, the sealing width after lamination is determined from the measurement, the inner volume of the panel is calculated from the sealing width, and the dropping amount of the liquid crystal can be calculated from the inner volume of the panel.
