PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera which has superior operability of the operating member for recording static images or animation. SOLUTION: The digital camera comprises a camera body, which can selectively photograph static images and animation by incorporating a photographing optical system, and a grip which is supported turnably on the camera body. The grip is provided with two non-parallel outer faces in adjacent relation without facing the camera body, and the digital camera is provided with a first operation member for recording the static images and a second operating member for recording animation on one face and on the other face of the two outer faces.
